For a short time, the focus is simply on being with your family—enjoying one another and appreciating your life as it is right now.

Photo Pricing
I believe photographs deserve a physical presence in our homes.
That way we see them every day, and our children grow up surrounded by their own family story. This is why I place such an emphasis on wall art and albums.
At the same time, every session includes a full gallery of images, carefully edited and in high-resolution.
Purchase of physical products is optional.
Session Fees
Your session fee covers a pre-session consultation, the time spent photographing your family, careful editing of your photos, and an online gallery of all the best photos in full resolution. If you'd like a draft album design, this is included as well. 50% is due at time of booking to reserve your session date. Additional fees apply for large groups.
1 hour session: $600
A short session like this is a little more directed, to make the most of your time. FYI, one hour sessions do not produce enough photos to fill an album.
2 hour session: $900

Just right for capturing a slice of real family life — time to settle in and let genuine moments unfold.
Half-day documentary session: $1300
For families who want to slow down and capture a fuller story of their day. These sessions allow space for the unexpected moments that make family life feel real.
Full day-in-the-life sessions and multi-session packages available for returning clients
Some families choose a short session to capture a brief moment in time. Others prefer a longer session that allows the story of the day to unfold more naturally. I’m happy to help you decide what would feel right for your family.
Artwork
Products are sold a la carte starting at $450 for albums. Wall art and print collections start at $250, and you can purchase loose prints as well.
If you know before your session that you want to order physical products, you can pre-purchase product credit at a 10% discount.

My heirloom albums and art come from Italy. I've compared the products from dozens of companies and found that this is the best color reproduction, the most touchable paper, and the highest quality framing and binding.
How does this work?

Let's talk about how I can help capture your memories. Usually we have a short a phone call so I can learn more about your family, and your can ask any questions you might have. (Call me at 202.744.3627 or schedule by email below.)
We can brainstorm what moments in your family life might be meaningful to preserve. If you live in NW DC, I can even stop by your house to chat. Then we will schedule your session.

We meet at your home or another favorite location for your session. You'll find me to be flexible and genuine. Pretty soon you'll forget all about the camera. You don't have to pretend I'm not there or perform for me. We just hang out while you live your life.
After we part, I sift through all your photos and carefully edit the best of them. For many sessions, I also draft an album and mock up display art designs to show you.
Within two weeks, you’ll receive an online gallery of your finished photographs.
If you’d like printed artwork, we will refine album and wall art designs together on Zoom or in person.
You can order products exactly suited to your taste and the style of your home. This is also a great time to think about gifts for your family.

Once your albums and art are printed, I'll hand deliver them within the DC area. The whole experience is designed to reflect and fit into your busy life. Whether or not you order physical products, you'll have an online gallery you can share with family and friends.

Common questions
Do I get all the digital images?
"All" the digital images would be a lot to handle! I often take more than 1,000. Part of my job is curating the photos to find the best and construct a cohesive story. But you will get all of the images in your story, yes. And you can download, share, and print them as you please.
Can we get a few portraits too?
Of course. Many families want a few group portraits. Mine are generally pretty relaxed.
Do you only photograph families with young children?
Not at all. I photograph families at all stages of life — from couples and young families to adult children gathering with their parents.
I also photograph intimate weddings and create storytelling projects for organizations and small businesses.
What if my house is messy or my kids are a little wild?
No worries! Documentary sessions work best when kids are free to be themselves, so there’s no expectation that anyone will behave perfectly. And if things are messy and chaotic, your photos will be beautifully messy and chaotic.
