As important as it is to document our everyday lives with our families, there are some events so extraordinary that they beg to be captured on camera. In my family these seem to come along most often when my sister and my brother in law are around.

Last week we were all at a reunion with my mother's side of the family, camped out at an Airbnb. My daughter roped the two of them into building a fort. My sister is an architecture buff and her husband is a conceptual artist, always engineering some unexpected creation. So the resulting fort, as you can see in the photos here, was epic--and more importantly, it brought out the best in everyone.

What's something amazingly memorable that you wish you had captured on camera--or that you did capture?
